Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Housekeeping Aide to join our team. As a Housekeeping Aide, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in various settings, including hospitals and commercial facilities. Your role will involve performing a variety of cleaning tasks and ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for staff and visitors. Responsibilities: - Clean and sanitize assigned areas, including patient rooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas - Dust furniture, sweep, mop, and vacuum floors - Empty trash receptacles and replace liners - Restock supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels - Follow proper procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials - Adhere to infection control protocols to prevent the spread of germs and diseases - Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel - Follow all safety guidelines and OSHA regulations while performing duties - Perform floor care tasks such as stripping, waxing, and buffing as needed Skills: - Previous experience in environmental services or custodial work preferred - Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, products, and equipment - Familiarity with OSHA regulations related to housekeeping in healthcare or commercial settings - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision - Strong attention to detail and time management skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
