East Ohio Regional Hospital is Hiring a Nurse Practitioner - Woundcare Near Martins Ferry, OH

Description

Advanced nursing practice of nursing at a level which requires substantial theoretical knowledge in a specialized area of nursing practice and proficient clinical utilization of knowledge in implementing the nursing process. The competencies of specialist include but are not limited to the ability to assess, conceptualize, diagnose, analyze, plan, implement, and evaluate complex problems related to health as designed by the licensing Board of the State. The advanced practice nurse follows established nursing standards, procedures, and practices. As a Wound Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing specialized care to patients with acute or chronic wounds. Your expertise in wound assessment, treatment, and management will play a crucial role in promoting healing and preventing complications.

  • Perform thorough assessments of patients' wounds, including measurement, staging, and documentation.
  • Develop and implement individualized wound care plans based on patients' specific needs and medical history.
  • Administer wound care treatments such as dressing changes, debridement, and application of topical medications.
  • Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Educate patients and their families on proper wound care techniques and self-management strategies.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.

Requirements

 Education

  • A Masters Degree in Nursing and completion of a graduate level program for family nurse practitioners.

Training and Experience

  • License to practice professional nursing and announcement of advanced practice status as required by the State of jurisdiction. National certification as a family nurse practitioner. CPR certification. Prescriptive Authority Number as appropriate.
