General Maintenance Worker, Full and Part Time

EAST O&M LLC., a multi-service facility management and base operations support provider to military installations, has the need for up to (2) General Maintenance Workers.

The General Maintenance Worker performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge (but not proficiency) in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work. Work involves a variety of the following duties: replacing electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors, using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings, repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers , and toilets painting structures and equipment; repairing or replacing concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks, replacing damaged paneling and floor tiles, hanging doors and installing door locks, replacing broken window panes, and performing general maintenance on equipment and machinery.

REQUIREMENTS:

Must be a graduate of an accredited technical school's Diploma Program in one of the trades (Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, Carpentry) with two years verifiable construction experience; or a verifiable four years commercial work experience as a trade's person in the last six years may be substituted for the education requirement.

Must be able to qualify for and maintain the appropriate "Secret" Security Clearance

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening & physical

Must comply with company policies, OSHA, NEC, and base safety

Required to safely lift-up to 75 pounds, and climb ladders

Operate aerial platform equipment from the raised platform Must possess the tools of the trade

Required to follow oral and written directions in English

Must possess a valid state's driver's license/a CDL Class B endorsement is not required but useful

Knowledge of MS Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook or similar programs is helpful

Compensation: General Maintenance Workers will receive $29.71 per hour plus a Health & Welfare (fringe) amount of $7.95 per hour.
