East Lansing Family Eyecare is looking for an experienced optician to join our team. We are located at 1905 Abbot Road, in East Lansing. Starting payrate based on experience. Full-time positions available.

Responsibilities -

*Welcomes patients and helps them choose the perfect frame and lens combination. *Knowledgeable on different lens designs, coatings, and materials. *Able to record basic frame and optical measurements. *Understands how to work with different insurance and vision plan benefits, and can apply those benefits to a final sale. *Needs to be computer proficient. *Contact patients when finished eyeglass orders are received. Dispensing finished product, making the proper adjustments to a patient's frame to ensure proper fit and function. *Work with other team members to ensure high levels of customer and patient satisfaction across all departments of the practice. *Use good judgment to solve patient's problems. *Reliable and can maintain scheduling commitments.

Qualifications

*Friendly and outgoing personality. Works well with others. Reliable. *Excellent verbal skills. Hard-working and patient person. *Optical experience necessary. 1-2 years in the field is desired.

Available shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays and Saturdays. Compensation is $14.50 - $17.00/hour.
