• Coordinates and provides recreation activities: reality orientation, current events, discussion groups, re-motivation therapy, sensory stimulation, cultural activities, religious services, special entertainment, out trips, special events, and one-on-one visits, as indicated.
• Purchases and inventories supplies and equipment. Inspects recreation equipment to determine repair and maintenance needs and cleanliness.
• -Encourage individuals to participate in recreational social activities so that all individuals are involved in activities by engaging in and organizing games, crafts, role plays, community activities, pre -vocational skills and parties, etc.
• Communicate with staff for a seamless implementation of activities and ancillary activities.

Complete documentation on individuals, i.e., daily activities, behavior and interaction with others, etc..

• Follow principles of infection control and prevention
• Attend all meetings as required.
• Record any safety issues within the facility

• Must be able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
• Must be able to work harmoniously with other personnel.
• Sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during working hours. Must be able to life up to 50lbs
• Is subject to frequent interruptions.
• Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position.
• Must function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with other staff.
• Other duties as assigned.

Must be able to work every other weekend and holidays to meet the needs of our residents.
