    Title: Technology Coach
    Qualifications:
    • CT State Certification (Elementary K-6) required.
    • Knowledge of Connecticut’s technology teacher standards.
    • A minimum of three years of exemplary teaching as an instructional leader.
    • Experience training students and adults in the use of technology
    • Knowledgeable in creating web pages.
    • Knowledgeable in Web Authoring.
    • Experience with Internet applications.
    • Excellent collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills.
    • Routine work habits that exemplify teamwork, productivity, initiative, commitment, and flexibility.
    • Such other qualifications as may be determined by the Superintendent.
    Reports to:
    Supervisor of Elementary Curriculum and Assessment
    Job Goal:
    To assist teachers in effective integration of technology into their instruction.
    Responsibilities:
    • Supports teachers in implementing student and staff technology standards and in meeting professional teacher standards.
    • Supports teachers of special needs children in the use of assistive and adaptive devices for instruction as applicable.
    • Models effective teaching practices with technology.
    • Informs staff of available technology resources.
    • Serves as a resource to teachers and administrators for accessing materials/information related to technology.
    • Provides on site training in technology to the staff as assigned.
    • Evaluates and recommends instructional software, websites and other technological resources.
    • Advises and assists teachers in integrating technology in the curriculum.
    • Provides individual, small group and large group assistance in using technology.
    • Supports teachers and students in the use of technology for whole group instruction in computer labs and classrooms.
    • Demonstrates punctuality and good attendance for all duties.
    • Collaborates with school and district personnel to solve instructional problems for the school as they relate to technology.
    • Relates technological issues to non-technical users.
    • Possesses excellent communication skills.
    • Provides support and information to parents and community as it relates to technology.
    • Demonstrates positive interpersonal relationships with teachers, students, parents and administration through training, conferencing, support and guidance.
    • Maintains a library of technology related materials and catalogs for school staff.
    • Works directly in the classroom with teachers concerning the integration of technology into instruction.
    • Maintains required records.
    • Models appropriate software use.
    • Participates in additional training, workshops and conferences to stay current with latest technology and integration strategies.
    • Assists staff in setting goals to meet the state technology standards.
    • Other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor of Elementary Curriculum and Assessment.
    Terms of Employment:
    Ten-month year. Salary and work year as established by EHEA contract.

    Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the Board’s policy
