Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will assist in providing quality care to our animal patients and support our veterinarians in delivering exceptional veterinary services.

Duties:

- Perform various veterinary procedures under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian

- Assist with animal examinations, vaccinations, and treatments

- Administer medications and perform laboratory tests as directed

- Monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures

- Take and develop X-rays

- Provide post-operative care and monitor recovery of patients

- Maintain accurate medical records and update patient files

- Educate clients on proper animal care and answer their questions

- Handle and restrain animals during examinations and procedures

- Assist with pet grooming, including bathing and nail trimming

Requirements:

- Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or equivalent certification preferred but not required.

- Experience working as a Veterinary Technician or in a related role

- Strong knowledge of animal physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology

- Proficient in performing aseptic techniques and maintaining sterile environments

- Skilled in dog handling, including proper restraint techniques

- Experience with X-ray equipment operation is highly desirable

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask effectively
