Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, reliable, and friendly Medical/Ophthalmic Receptionist to join our expanding, well-established, and respected team. This position is responsible for providing prompt, courteous, and professional patient care. You must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and be proficient with computers and typing.

Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients in a professional and courteous manner
- Answering and triaging busy phones
- Schedule appointments and maintain appointment calendars, obtain referrals/auths
- Collect and process patient information, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out procedures - Collect co-pays and deductibles
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and deliveries
- Provide general administrative support to the office staff

Skills:
- Proficient in operating phone systems and handling multiple lines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Proficiency with typing and using computers
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Knowledge of front desk procedures in a medical or dental office setting is preferred
- Familiarity with medical administrative support tasks is a plus
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficiency in using office equipment such as copiers, scanners, and fax machines

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
