We are seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as an Entry Level Manager to help us continue providing exceptional dining experiences to our customers.
Position Overview:
As an Entry Level Manager at East Bay Deli, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our deli. We are looking for a dedicated team player with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. Responsibilities:
1. Operations Management: Assist in overseeing all aspects of daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, staff scheduling, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
2. Customer Service: Lead by example in providing excellent customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, handling inquiries, and addressing any concerns to ensure a positive dining experience.
3. Team Leadership: Train, coach, and motivate team members to uphold our high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment to promote teamwork and employee satisfaction.
4. Inventory Control: Assist with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability. Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in implementing cost-saving measures.
5. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all food products meet our quality standards by conducting regular inspections, enforcing food safety protocols, and addressing any issues promptly and effectively.
6. Financial Management: Support the management team in monitoring sales performance, controlling expenses, and achieving financial targets. Assist with cash handling procedures and ensure accuracy in all transactions.
7. Promotional Activities: Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute promotional events and marketing campaigns. Actively engage with customers to gather feedback and identify opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in hospitality management is a plus.
- Previous experience in the restaurant industry, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-focused approach.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient computer skills, including experience with point-of-sale systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
