VACANCY NOTICE
POSITION TITLE: Video Surveillance and Intercom Technician
BUILDING(S): Buildings and Grounds Center
CLASSIFICATION: Tier III
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 months. Monday-Friday: 8 hours/day.
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Executive Director of Information Systems/Chief
Information Officer (CIO) or Designee
SALARY: Starting at $52,000/year commensurate with
credentials and experience

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. College degree or work experience in information technology field.
2. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
3. Strong communication and documentation skills.
4. Experience with problem resolution in an educational setting.
5. Ability to troubleshoot and remedy network and server related issues.
6. Ability to troubleshoot and remedy network video recorder and camera issues.
7. Strong understanding of network security concepts and principles.
8. Must be licensed to drive a car.
9. Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds for short distances.
10. Must be able to climb ladders.
11. Must be able to obtain and maintain Milestone Technician Certification.
12. Other Certification such as Network , Security would be beneficial.
JOB DESCRIPTION / RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Completes all assigned requests from infrastructure team members.
2. Resolves escalated technology break fix requests until satisfactory resolution has
been met.
3. Assists with project tasks assigned by Infrastructure Manager.
4. Supports maintenance of network camera servers, network cameras, door access,
active directory, servers, and other tasks related to upgrading the network
infrastructure.
5. Install security camera systems, including cameras, cabling, recording devices,
and monitors.
6. Perform preventive maintenance on security camera systems to identify and
address potential issues.
7. Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in security camera systems.
8. Assists with asset and inventory management needs of the Infrastructure
Department, including deployment, maintenance, and recovery of network
equipment.
9. Provides timely feedback and status updates via the helpdesk ticketing systems
and other means as required by a Supervisor, Analyst, Manager, and/or an
Administrator.
10. Assists and contributes to technological improvement across the district.
11. Updates technology department documentation as needed.
12. Consults and collaborates with other departments.
13. Troubleshoots and resolves network, wireless, server, and camera issues with the
assistance of Infrastructure Manager.
14. Run and terminate network cabling.
15. Knowledge of the Milestone Camera software, basic security and camera
installation/maintenance, knowledge of the Vidio software platform.
16. Ability to learn, test, and document new technologies systems.
17. Other duties as assigned.
