The Early Years Place is a small business in Little Rock, AR. We are engaging, fun, rewarding and our goal is to provide the best early start in life. We believe that every child deserves an enriching environment to learn and grow. We combine education, medical, and child care with support for families to ensure Arkansas' youngest have the best start.

At The Early Years Place, the love for learning begins during the earliest years, and we are excited to welcome dedicated Teachers to join our growing team and work in our classrooms that are designed to help our little wonderers learn and grow through discovery and play.

Seeking caring staff with the following traits or those willing to find theirs:

• Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem.
• You must not take yourself too seriously. Have fun and employ a variety of educational techniques like storytelling, reading books out loud, singing circles, and engaging with the children during playtime.
• Track children’s progress on the daily via our app that reports everything from how much a child ate to when they took a nap, you can even snap fun pictures for the parents to see their kiddos enjoying the day.
• You must maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.
• You must be able to handle a meltdown and interpret crying, pointing, and lots of emotions as children develop language and learn to regulate emotions.
• You must be comfortable navigating on the floor, sitting at a table and chairs that are a foot off the ground, and have the ability to lift small children in a single bound!
• A stomach of steel is great! There will be sneezes, diaper changes, and the occasional blowouts.
• You must be prepared to laugh, love, and collaborate with the other educators. This is a very fulfilling job, but you must be prepared to accept the challenges and benefits this job has to offer. Yes, there will days that the little wonderers send you home utterly exhausted, but you can't wait to come again!

Just in case you need more info…yes, you must pass all background checks, have a high school diploma or GED, and be available to work between 6:30 A.M.-6:00 P.M. Monday through Friday (no nights or weekends). Experience is awesome, but we understand not everyone has that yet, so those with potential are welcome to apply.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
