Educational coordinator duties include:

• Creating and implementing curriculum that is stimulating, engaging and educational
• Assists in overseeing and directing the planning, organizing, and implementation of education services for children
• Developing and implementing individual educational plans for children
• Monitoring and ensuring all the center curriculum follows the ELC standard
• Supervise students and model positive and respectful behavior
• Helping students gain independence through learning
• Communicating with parents and director of center
• Supervise assistant teachers in the class to ensure that the students are getting the best care possible
• Must follow center and DHS policies and regulations
• Model effective interaction with children, families, and colleagues
• Complete additional duties as assigned in a timely matter
• This position is primarily working directly with children and implementing curriculum.
• Requirements:

• Qualifications:
• Must hold a current Rhode island Department of education teacher certification for grades pre-kindergarten to second grade and has 3 months supervised teaching experience in a license/approved early childhood program. or can hold a Bachelors with Early childhood Education and has 3 months supervised teaching experience in a license/approved Early childhood program ( student teaching may fulfill this requirement)
• Experience in teaching Preschool children and creating curriculum
• Ability to model best practices
• Excellent planning skills; creativity in programming and partnership development
• Excellent relationship building skills; ability to address issues with both children and families
• Knowledge of youth development principles and practices
• Strong organization and attention to details
• Ability to clear all required background checks
• 24 hours of Professional development yearly
• Must be First Aid/CPR certified

Job Type: Full-time 8:00-5:00 but needs to be flexible Between the hours of 7:00-5:30pm.
