Description: The Intake Coordinator is the initial point of contact and entry to our Community Developmental Screening program. The Intake Coordinator guides families through the process of completing an Ages and Stages Questionnaire and following appropriate steps based on early childhood developmental screening results. This may include scheduling for community based screening events, coordinating referrals to other community providers, gathering additional information and documents from families and providing information to families. Other important activities include the ability to track and follow up with families, providing developmental guidance to families, communicating with the rest of the developmental screening team, and supporting community based events such as monthly developmental screening events at different locations in Hillsborough County. The position is primarily office based with the ability to work some days of the week from home.
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Essential Job Functions:
Conduct age appropriate developmental screening using tools such as the Ages and Stages Questionnaire.
Effectively communicate screening results, recommendations and provide developmental guidance to families.
Maintain documentation and case files that are accurate, timely, legible and well written.
Develop kind, supportive and empathic relationships with adult caregivers and young children.
Effectively schedule day to day activities that include phone calls, meetings, community based visits, etc.
Assist with and support Community Developmental Screening events at different locations in Hillsborough County.
