Position DetailsTitle: Substitute Bus Driver
Placement (location): Transportation
Supervisor: Transportation Supervisor
Contract Days: N/A
Salary Range: $17.60 to $25.02 per hour, based upon previous experience
DescriptionHours and days may vary; position is on-call/as needed. A $76.50 fingerprinting fee is required by law and is due at time of processing.
General ExpectationsHave an Oregon CDL or be willing to obtain CDL:

• Take 4 tests at DMV to obtain permit
• Train 15-60 hours with our transportation department (average is 30 days)
• Return to DMV to obtain CDL

Cost is approximately $138 dollars to obtain CDL. District will reimburse $138 after you have worked 60 days.
Substitute Drivers that are properly licensed bus drivers, and enter into a permanent bargaining position as a bus driver, shall receive a $500 signing stipend in their first regular paycheck after a minimum of 30 calendar days of working as a bus driver. After 8 months of service as a bus driver, the employee shall receive an additional $500 in their next regular paycheck.
