The Camp Med Staff shall serve Eagle Lake Camps and fulfill the responsibilities listed below in the spirit of The Navigators' calling, values, and purpose: To advance the Gospel of Jesus and His Kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among the lost.

This role is perfect for you if you love the medical side of ministry, you're organized and cool under pressure, and you're excited to care for campers between 8 and 17 years old. As Med Staff, you’ll be responsible for providing compassionate, professional medical care to our campers, dispensing prescribed over-the-counter medications, providing basic first aid, and being present during camp games and activities to support our camp programs. Additional responsibilities are listed below.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· 40% Medical Care

• Offer competent and compassionate medical care to campers and staff on camp property.

• Dispense medications and treatments to campers according to Colorado state standards.

· 30% Parent and Doctor Communication and Documentation

• Offer professional, courteous, and timely communication with camper parents or legal guardians.

• Keep our Medical Director in the loop on all relevant medical decisions

• Keep proper documentation in accordance with state standards and our medical director’s standing orders and formulary

· 20% Scheduling Responsibilities

• Be on time for all meetings, meals, and scheduled rotations, while being flexible to any last-minute changes that are assigned by the Overnight Operations Director.

• Be “on-call” at the infirmary for some weekends and nights based on a rotation schedule.

· 10% Housekeeping, Food Service and general Service Opportunities

• cleaning the infirmary, making beds, laundry of soiled soft goods

• Ordering meals from the kitchen, preparing simple meals for admitted patients, caring for special diet needs

• Helping out in Sunday and Friday meal rotations

· Teamwork

• Responsible to assist in the advancement of all Eagle Lake Camps’ programs as needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

· You're 18 years old or older (or will be by May of 2024).

· You can pass a background check.

· You can legally work in the United States.

Preferred Experience

• You're a Nursing student with some clinical rotation experience.
• You have volunteer experience in a medical setting.
• You have some medical certifications (i.e. WFR/WFA, CNA, EMT).
• You have Customer Service experience.
