Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Peer Specialist to join our team. As a Certified Peer Specialist, you will provide support and guidance to individuals facing mental health challenges by sharing your own lived experiences. Administrative duties required.
Duties:
- Engage with clients in a supportive and empathetic manner - Scheduling, EHR charting, phone/text, Microsoft 365
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to encourage positive behavior change
- Assist individuals in developing coping strategies and setting achievable goals
- Collaborate with mental health professionals to create holistic treatment plans
Skills:
- Proficiency in crisis management and intervention
- Strong understanding of behavioral health principles
- Experience in mental health counseling and addiction counseling
- Knowledge of social work practices and mentoring techniques
- Ability to navigate systems and advocate for clients
- Certification as a Peer Specialist is required
