Job Description:
We seek multiple vigilant, Licensed Armed Security Officer who understands the unique challenges and responsibilities of securing religious institutions. The chosen candidate will embody our values, ensuring the safety of all while upholding the sanctity of the worship space. (MUST HAVE A VALID VA DCJS ARMED SECURITY OFFICER LICENSE)
We seek multiple vigilant, Licensed Armed Security Officer who understands the unique challenges and responsibilities of securing religious institutions. The chosen candidate will embody our values, ensuring the safety of all while upholding the sanctity of the worship space. (MUST HAVE A VALID VA DCJS ARMED SECURITY OFFICER LICENSE)
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively monitor and patrol assigned areas to deter potential threats.
- Swiftly respond to alarms and any security-related incidents.
- Adhere strictly to Virginia state laws and company protocols.
- Compile detailed and precise incident reports.
- Engage professionally with congregants, clergy, and fellow officers.
- Regularly attend training sessions to stay updated on the latest security measures.
Qualifications:
- Valid Virginia Armed Security Officer License.
- Authorization to carry a firearm in Virginia.
- Working Sunday during worship hours is a must 0730-1330 (7:30 am-1:30 pm)
- Prior experience in security, preferably in religious or community settings.
- Acute observational and decision-making abilities.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
- Flexibility to work during worship hours, including nights, weekends, and special religious events.
- Successful completion of a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
Hours:Part-time (1) day week Sunday 0730-1330.
Weekly events on-call (1 week notice).
Flexible to work more if requested.

Preferred:
- Military Experience Honorable Discharge
- Full-Time/Reserve Police Experience
- Three or more years of experience in Armed Security.
