Responsibilities:

  • Install, program, repair, test, and inspect fire detection and signaling systems as per schedule
  • Ensure services align with manufacturer's instructions, related codes/standards, and Company policies
  • Communicate system discrepancies and necessary repairs to the Company and the customer
  • Market EFI services to existing and potential customers
  • Train Alarm Technician Trainees as assigned
  • Complete administrative duties, including timesheets and reports
  • Adhere to all Company Standards and Procedures, including safety policies
  • Continuously pursue education to maintain certifications and licenses

Qualifications:

  • Self-starter, able to work independently
  • 2 years of experience in fire protection systems, plus
  • Minimum Level II NICET certification in desired field required (or the ability to obtain Level II within the first 18 months of employment), OR
  • The equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Has practical knowledge of fire protection codes and standards
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record for the last 5 years
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift, crouch, reach, handle, push, and pull
  • Willingness to travel and stay out of town as needed
  • Comfortable working in various temperature conditions and exposure to loud sounds
  • Fluent in English, effective communication skills
