Memory Care ActivitySpecialist

Eagle Crest Communities is seeking a Memory Care ActivitySpecialist to join the Life Enrichment team at Eagle Crest South in La Crosse,WI. This person will host activities in large and small group programs as wellas one-on-one activities.

What You’ll Do

• Responsible for the development, coordination,and oversight of the activities for the 3 Memory Care units - Facilitate 4-6programs, daily
• Create a weekly activity schedule for the RecreationAides and have those activities prepared on the proper days
• Communicate daily with coworkers, residents,families and representatives
• Responsible for partnering with the LifeEnrichment Coordinator as well as other team members for daily execution of activities
• Interview, hire, train, and manage RecreationSupport Aides, ensuring they meet the requirements of the position
• Conduct Care Conferences by evaluating residentactivity participation over the previous 90 days
• Partner with volunteers

What You’ll Need

• Degree in Recreation Therapy or a related fieldis highly preferred, but candidates with equivalent experience will beconsidered
• A genuine interest in working with the elderlyand the ability to maintain familiarity with each participant’s unique likes anddislikes, needs and abilities, a must
• Leadership or supervisory experience, beneficial
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite
• Valid driver’s license with a responsibledriving record, required

• Based on qualifications and previous experience
• We pay for high performance! We will review yourwage at six months.
