EAGLE COUNTY GOVERNMENT is Hiring an Operations Team Supervisor - Economic Services Near Eagle, CO

Salary Range: $79,539-$97,436. The maximum pay for this is $115,332.

Schedule: M-F, 8am-5pm.

Economic Services (a division within the Department of Human Services) is responsible for administering a range of critical public assistance programs including Cash, Child Care, Emergency, Energy, Food and Medical Assistance, as well as connecting customers to other vital resources and supports.

The Operations Team Supervisor is responsible for managing a team of public assistance specialists to ensure efficient delivery of benefits to clients. This role supervises, organizes, and monitors the team while providing excellent customer service. The supervisor needs to be familiar with human-centered approaches to working with vulnerable clients and collaborate with other teams to deliver a seamless service experience.

The Operations Team Supervisor is responsible for many things, including:

  • Overseeing a team and ensuring they meet customer service standards and deadlines.
  • Monitoring performance, identifying areas for improvement, and resolving problems.
  • Providing training and support to staff, including new hires.
  • Setting clear expectations and goals for employees.
  • Participating in leadership activities and strategic planning.
  • Maintaining expertise in assigned areas and programs.

The Supervisor also needs to be bilingual (English/Spanish) and have experience working with public assistance programs. They must be well-organized, adaptable, and able to handle stress.

Qualifications: 

Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification or Registration
(Required unless stated otherwise.)

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in social work, social sciences, public administration or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience which produces the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • 4 years of minimum work experience in the social services field with direct client interaction or human services experience in a public or private human services agency;
  • 2 years of supervisory experience in human services or a closely related field is preferred.
  • 1 year of effectively supervising, communicating, and collaborating with teams in either a fully remote or hybrid workplace is preferred.
  • Extensive public contact work experience including proficiency in navigating clients through the systems related to public assistance programs.
  • The position requires travel to service locations within Eagle County and may require travel to regional or state training, meetings, or events within Colorado; a valid driver’s license and the ability to pass a background investigation— reliable transportation required.
