POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT: Design Associate

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Design Associate position is responsible for supporting the design phase of the Eagle Homebuilding Journey. Responsibilities include:

• Answer incoming calls and greet guests in a friendly, polite, and professional manner, responding to inquiries or redirecting them to others as appropriate.
• Provide a Design Center Preview tour for visitors, prospective buyers, Eagle homebuyers and trade partners, answering questions and providing information about Included Features and Design Center products/features.
• Prepare materials for homebuyers and assist Design Consultants in the completion of the design experience, such as: scheduling appointments, preparing sample displays, assisting with late changes and reselections.
• Ensure that all Design Center spaces are well-organized and welcoming.
• Maintain the overall function and maintenance of the Design Center
• Ensure all technology and demonstration products are turned on and working during business hours.
• Restock and order product samples, refreshments, and office supplies, as needed.

· Receive, sort and forward incoming mail and deliveries. Coordinate the pickup and delivery of express mail services (FedEx, UPS, etc.)

Education, Experience and Skills Required:

• Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.

· Ability to complete a variety of tasks in a timely, organized manner.

• Proficiency in use of MS Office Suite.

· Preferred minimum 1 year experience in customer service, interior design and/or homebuilding industry.

Working Location and Conditions:

· Design Center and office environment located in Blacksburg, VA.

· Part-time position: 2 to 3 days per week, including at least one weekend day. Flexibility for additional hours available.

o Weekday hours 8am-5pm

o Weekend hours 11am-5pm

· This position is not remote or hybrid.

Physical Demands:

· While performing the duties of this position, a Design Associate is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, type, and listen for several hours of the workday.

· Lift and move up to 15 pounds.

Compensation and Benefits:

- $18-$20 per hour
