EADS Group is Hiring an Environmental Specialist Near Altoona, PA

The EADS Group, Inc., a full-service, multi-disciplined engineering firm which began in 1955, is actively seeking a full-time Environmental Specialist in our Altoona, PA office. We offer a flexible workweek, competitive benefits package, and salary commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities include environmental monitoring of roadway construction projects, inspection of E&S controls, soil and water sampling, Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, wetland delineations, stream surveys, deed research and file reviews, proposal preparation, permit preparations, and NEPA document preparation. Duties may include daily travel to construction project sites and completion of environmental monitoring forms/documentation.

The preferred candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field and 0-5 years of relevant experience in environmental consulting, planning, and/or field studies. The preferred candidate must have good written and verbal communication skills, and the willingness and ability to do field work. Certifications/experience relating to wetland delineation, permitting, environmental site assessment, as well as knowledge of CADD or GIS software is preferred. Experience reading construction drawings and erosion and sedimentation control plans is also preferred.
