Overview

The Communications Specialist 2 should possess a demonstrated basic understanding of the principles of communication practices and tactics and have the ability to develop written or graphic communication materials for print, electronic media, and / or Web.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Graphics Production Email Inbox as well as Phone Calls.
• Handle requests for District Tags and rubber stamps; create new orders; and send to Vendor and track orders.
• Handle requests for stationery (business cards, letterhead, envelope) orders; create new orders; and send to Vendor and track orders.
• Perform support duties and assist other Coordinators, as required.

Qualifications

Required Skills / Attributes

• Associate's degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Journalism, Writing Communications, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Three (3) to five (5) years of experience developing communication material and strategies.
• Three (3) or more years of experience as a Coordinator or Analyst
• Ability to prioritize work in an environment with multiple and conflicting interests.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Competency in using a variety of computer software, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
• Detail-oriented.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, Outlook or an equivalent e-mail application.

Wage Data Per State Requirements

The salary range for this position is $63,000.00 - $79,000.00. The starting salary will be commensurate with skill, education, experience, and working environment.
