Job Description:

Role: Mechanical Designer

Location: San Antonio, TX

Job type: Full Time/Permanent

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Develops layouts for HVAC and Plumbing

· Perform design, drawings, and specifications for adaptation and modification of MEP equipment and systems

· Perform calculations to support system designs

· Plan, schedule, conduct and/or coordinate detailed phases of assigned project work

· Attend construction site visits, develop meeting minutes, and site observation reports

· Perform CA tasks, review submittals/shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and attend CA meetings

· As other duties assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:

· Proven track record completing projects, strong project planning and delivery experience

· Strong attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication

· Team-oriented, hands-on, adaptive and client-focused

· Excellent time management and critical thinking skills

· Ability to work under pressure with demanding deadlines with a high sense of urgency

TECHNOLOGY/COMPUTER EXPERIENCE:

· Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD, and Revit

· Proficient in Trane Trace 700

· Working knowledge of energy modeling

· Proficient in Bluebeam

· Proficient in MS Office Suite including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint

EDUCATION:

· Associate Degree, preferred

· LEED AP BD C, preferred

EXPERIENCE:

· 7 years of recent experience in Mechanical design with an architectural or MEP firm

· Proficient interpersonal skills and experience helping to maintain successful client relationships

· Working knowledge of Project Management

REQUIREMENTS:

· Current valid driver's license and insurable driving record

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $64,911.29 - $90,000.00 per year
