Dynamic Self Recovery is Hiring a Substance Abuse Counselor Near Albany, OR

Hiring bonus paid quarterly up to $2000 over the first year.

This job is for a clinician with a CADC I or CADC II with at least one year experience in the field. This job does require a background check approval.

This job is under our Intensive Outpatient Substance Use program.

Role and Responsibilities

All applicants must feel comfortable with providing services to individuals with co-occurring substance abuse, mental health problems. Many sessions involve family members (including children of different ages) and social supports (both prosocial and deviant). Successful applicants will feel comfortable working with a range of family types.

Job Tasks

Essential Job Tasks to be performed

  • Follows standardized protocol for conducting treatment with parents and families
  • Conducts individual, family, and couples therapy, substance abuse treatment and relapse prevention planning using behavioral interventions including frequent monitored urinalysis.
  • Treatment involves providing case management appointments and other treatment needs
  • Case management includes participating in child welfare meetings, court appearances, medical/mental health appointments, connecting clients with resources as needed, supervising parent-child visits
  • Responsible for developing comprehensive substance use assessments and treatment plans,
  • Responsible for timely documentation of progress notes, treatment plans, service plan reviews and monthly treatment updates to child welfare. Given the population, charts are frequently subpoenaed—attention to documentation is essential.

This job description covers some, but not necessarily all, tasks, requirements, working conditions and physical demands of the position described.

We ask that candidates have at least one year of experience working with clients in mental health and/or recovery setting.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $44,000.00 - $54,288.00 per year

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
