Job Title: Customer Service Representative FLSA Status: Salary, Exempt

Reports To: Sales Manager Date: 4/9/2024

Responsible for sales activities including but not limited to, customer services, order entry, assisting outside salesmen and various other functions by performing the following duties.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Connect with customers via email, over the phone or face to face.
• Answering day to day questions or concerns from customers dealing with issues regarding status of orders, expedite requests, notification of quality defects or price validation.
• Communication with the customer, provide tracking numbers for shipments upon request, fax/email copies of packing lists or invoices and notify customers of any delays.
• Order entry includes receive orders from customer, communicate with sales and shipping staff, verifying pricing, determine proper lead times, communicating with customer throughout the order process, accurately enter orders and following all policies and procedures.
• Listening to customers queries, solving issues and documenting interactions with the customers. Work with supervisor/manager to resolve issues as needed.
• Respond to customers’ concerns promptly, ensuring the issues are resolved in a timely manner.
• Maintain good customer relations and follow up.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Educational Requirements and Preferred Skills:

• College degree or equivalent years’ experience

• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
• Excellent computer skills
• Should have extreme knowledge of customer service ethics, including listening, problem solving, patience and be able to maintain composure.
• Detail oriented and a good work ethic.

Safe Practice Guidelines / Required Personal Protective Equipment:

• Safety glasses with side shields as required.
• Steel toed/metatarsal safety shoes as required.
