Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) to join our team working at a long term care facility in the Towson area. YOU MUST HAVE A MARYLAND GNA LICENSE. We need GNA's for all shifts. This will be on an ongoing, part-time PRN basis. As a GNA, you will provide essential care and support to elderly residents in a nursing home setting. Your role will involve assisting with daily activities, monitoring patients' well-being, and ensuring their comfort and safety.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Assist residents with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques
- Assist with feeding residents who require assistance
Skills:
- Caregiving: Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate care and support to elderly individuals
- Patient service: Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients
- Basic life support: Certification in basic life support (BLS)
- Nursing home experience: Previous experience working in a nursing home or long-term care facility is required
