Job Overview
We are seeking dance instructors that are driven, imaginative, and passionate to join our expanding studio. Applicants should enjoy interacting working with children and adults while having a desire to improve the lives of people in our neighborhood. We are hiring for multiple dance genera's and ages. In addition to our wonderful workforce, three stunning studios with safety-enhancing sprung floors; we offer competitive salary, including time and a half on weekends, and chances for advancement and training.
Duties
- Plan and deliver dance lessons to students of different age groups and skill levels
- Teach various dance styles such as ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, lyrical, and acrobatics.
- Create choreography for performances and recitals
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to help them improve their technique and performance
- Develop lesson plans that incorporate both technical skills and artistic expression
- Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to coordinate performances and events
- Stay updated on current trends and techniques in the dance industry
Skills
- Strong background in dance with expertise in one or more dance styles (e.g., ballet, jazz, tap)
- Excellent knowledge of childhood development principles
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom and maintain discipline
- Experience in behavior management techniques
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff members
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to different learning styles
- Experience in choreography and performance planning
