Dynacraft, a PACCAR Company, is headquartered in McKinney, TX. a suburb of Dallas. Dynacraft is a diversified global manufacturer of PACCAR medium- and heavy-duty truck parts sold under Kenworth, Peterbilt, and OAF nameplates. For fifty years Dynacraft has provided the company's truck divisions and PACCAR Parts division with high quality components, subassemblies, and specialized services. Dynacraft has production facilities in Louisville, KY, and McKinney, TX. Job Functions / Responsibilities
The Materials Analyst reports directly to the Materials Supervisor and is responsible for managing multiple Dynacraft supply chains to support manufacturing and distribution for all Dynacraft facilities.
The ideal candidate is one that is proactive in working with suppliers, customers, and production to ensure material availability, premium freight, surplus and obsolete, and inventory turn goals are met. Fact-based decision making is a requirement for success.
Help define and continuously improve department processes and procedures in line with quality and lean development goals for the division
Learn and execute best practices for part planning including ABC analysis, and forecasting methodologies
Execute best practices for managing supplier relations and performance including supplier performance reviews to senior management, conduct supplier visits and resolve supplier issues
Identify supplier packaging, shipping, logistics and production opportunities for improvement and work to improve these areas to reduce lead times and improve supplier delivery reliability Skills / Qualifications
Self-motivated, organized, flexible, and able to handle the demands of a just-in-time manufacturing environment.
Constructive written and verbal communication skills.
Creative, quality and results-driven work ethic.
Experience managing multiple concurrent projects.
Microsoft software proficiency (Word, Excel, Access, & PowerPoint).
SAP Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) knowledge and experience strongly desired.
Working knowledge of statistics, operations management concepts, and EDI are strongly desired.
Understanding of production facilities, assembly operations and heavy-duty truck knowledge are strongly desired. Education
Four-year degree in Business Administration or other related field desired.
SAP Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) training desired.
Truck Production experience desired.
Continuous Improvement experience desired.
