About You

We're seeking a resulted-focused, innovative, self-driven and well-qualified individual to join our talented team as a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator.

Based out of Torrington, Connecticut, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of raw goods inventory and finished goods by receiving goods and verifying the count the quality of all incoming and outgoing items received, and by immediately acting on discrepancies and quality issues to carriers, manager, and impacted stakeholders

In addition, you will :

• Ensure items shipping meet full compliance and international air standards by rigorously following international and domestic HazMat, IATA, and freighting regulations and documentation, then ensuring shipments and pallets are safe, secure, and correctly loaded
• Verify and record all items loaded for shipment and delivery by meticulously inspecting and accounting for the number and quality of items for dispatch, then entering timely and accurate electronic records into the company's ERP system
• Verify and record all incoming shipments by meticulously inspecting and accounting for the number and quality of items against bills of laden, then entering timely and accurate electronic records into the company's ERP system
• Assess the efficiency and performance of dispatch and distribution activities by monitoring and identifying carrier performance against expectations, and by making recommendations and taking actions to implement delivery changes as needed
• Ensure shipped items meet delivery deadlines and customer and cost expectations by accurately completing carrier paperwork and bills of laden, managing pickup times and delivery means, and comparing carriers' costs to select the best shipping options
• Meet department lines shipped on-time needs and metrics by maintaining dialog and order planning with the Production Bomar group, and by establishing optimal receiving and shipping planning and scheduling practices and priorities
• Maintain minimal damages and safe internal transportation practices by exceptional secure handling, operation, and driving of forklifts and other powerlifting equipment, power jacks, jack lifts, hand trucks, and company truck
• Maintain a safe, healthy, clean, ergonomically sensitive productive workplace by establishing and following best housekeeping practices for equipment, and by practicing and implementing safe lifting and loading techniques

Salary Range : $23 - $27

Our company takes the compensation of its employees very seriously and considers several factors when determining the total compensation package including but not limited to location, market range, skills, knowledge, experience, and abilities.

The base salary range represents the low and high end of our company's salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range.
