Events and Program Coordinator 

Primarily Remote Work In-person Events in New York City

Position Overview

Dwight Global Online School, which was recently named the #2 best online high school in the United States by Newsweek, is seeking an energetic, organized, detail-oriented, communicative, and efficient Events and Program Coordinator to coordinate and in-person events and assist with program tasks. 

This position is remote on most days; however, the Events and Program Coordinator should be located within the New York City area and able to visit Dwight School on Manhattan’s Upper West Side from time to time to manage events and complete special projects. The Events and Program Coordinator will report to the Head of School and work regularly with a broader school leadership team. 

Job Duties

• Coordinates logistics and all needs for Dwight Global in-person events and field trips, including booking spaces, researching activities, planning and ordering food, arranging transportation, and collecting RSVPs and health documentation
• Coordinates online events, including setting up Zoom rooms, managing communications, handling RSVPs, and researching and booking activities
• Manages the events calendars
• Handles online orders of textbooks, gifts, merchandise, supplies, and other items
• Schedules meetings and assists with school calendar tasks 
• Returns voicemails; may be asked to manage certain administrative inboxes
• Assists Head of School
• Job duties vary according to time of year and departmental needs
• Work on nights and weekends for scheduled events

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in administration or events planning (school administration preferred)
• Undergraduate degree
• Experience working and collaborating online preferred
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Adept in industry tools such as G-suite, Canva, Blackbaud, and Magnus Health 
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time 
• Excellent organization and time management skills 
• Collaborative and flexible
• Ability to bring a positive attitude and sense of fun to work
