Maintenance Mechanic Job Description

Service and repair of machinery, facilities repair, and light electrical repair.

Skills and Qualifications Needed:

We are looking for a maintenance mechanic to service machines and ensure they are operating properly. Your primary responsibilities will be to perform preventive maintenance on various devices and fix technical issues. Excellent problem‐solving skills and understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical systems, and pneumatics are crucial to this role. This role also requires physical stamina and strength, as you’ll have to stand for long hours and occasionally carry heavy loads.

Maintenance Mechanic Job Requirements:

 Conduct preventive maintenance to mechanical devices.

 Detect malfunctions through observation (sound or visual)

 Run diagnostic tests to ensure system functionality.

 Repair broken or faulty machine parts.

 Perform emergency repairs.

 Choose appropriate materials based on mechanical needs.

 Great understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, light electrical and mechanics

 Familiarity using various power and hand tools.

 In‐depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems maintenance.

 Knowledge of industrial control systems.

 Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations.

 Excellent troubleshooting skills.

 Basic computer and report writing skills.

 Good communication skills.

 Ability to lift and manipulate heavy equipment.

 Good time‐management skills.
