As an Infrastructure Architect, your primary responsibility is to design and oversee the implementation of complex and scalable IT infrastructure solutions that support the organization's business objectives. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements, assess existing infrastructure, and develop architectural designs that optimize performance, reliability, and security. Your role involves defining standards, selecting technologies, and providing guidance to ensure the successful deployment and operation of infrastructure components.

Key Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Planning and Design: Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and other architects to define infrastructure requirements and develop architectural designs that align with business goals.
Assess existing infrastructure components, including servers, storage, networks, and cloud services, to identify opportunities for optimization and enhancement.
Develop infrastructure roadmaps, reference architectures, and design patterns that guide the implementation of scalable and resilient infrastructure solutions.
Technology Evaluation and Selection: Evaluate emerging technologies, products, and solutions to determine their suitability for meeting infrastructure requirements and addressing business challenges.
Conduct proof-of-concept (POC) projects and technical evaluations to assess the performance, scalability, and compatibility of new infrastructure technologies.
Make recommendations for technology selection, standardization, and consolidation based on business needs, industry trends, and best practices.
Infrastructure Deployment and Implementation: Oversee the implementation of infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to architectural designs, standards, and best practices.
Collaborate with infrastructure engineers and administrators to configure, deploy, and optimize infrastructure components, such as servers, storage arrays, network devices, and virtualization platforms.
Define deployment strategies, migration plans, and rollout schedules to minimize disruption and ensure successful transitions to new infrastructure solutions.
Security and Compliance: Incorporate security requirements and compliance considerations into infrastructure designs, ensuring the implementation of robust security controls and measures.
Define security architectures, encryption standards, access controls, and authentication mechanisms to protect infrastructure assets and sensitive data.
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and frameworks, such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS Controls.
Performance Optimization and Capacity Planning: Monitor and analyze infrastructure performance metrics, including resource utilization, throughput, and latency, to identify optimization opportunities and capacity constraints.
Develop capacity planning models and scalability strategies to anticipate future infrastructure requirements and ensure adequate resource provisioning.
Implement performance tuning techniques, workload balancing, and caching mechanisms to optimize infrastructure performance and responsiveness.
