Dustrol, Inc., a 100% employee-owned asphalt contractor, is seeking a qualified professional for the role of Safety Coordinator supporting our Central Division based in Towanda, Kansas. The Safety Coordinator, reporting to the Corporate Safety Director, is responsible for ensuring consistency and compliance as it relates to workplace safety. About the Company:Dustrol Inc., a Milling and Hot-In-Place Recycling contractor in Towanda, KS, is a 100% employee-owned company providing asphalt recycling and related highway maintenance services throughout the Midwest from Canada to Mexico. Since our inception in 1973, we have continued to grow our footprint by providing quality infrastructure projects.Job Details:

Promote a safety culture with all Dustrol, Inc. employees.
Conduct job site safety inspections and report findings to the Corporate Safety Director.
Conduct training at safety meetings, orientations, etc.
Maintain required Federal and State postings.
Investigate workplace accidents and incidents to determine root causes and develop corrective actions.
Maintain records of safety inspections, audits, training, and other activities.

Job Qualifications:

Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA rules and regulations to ensure compliance.
Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and guidelines.
Knowledge of workers compensation laws.
2-4 years of experience in construction safety preferred.
Teamwork oriented with good communication skills.
CPR and First Aid certification.
Prior experience in asphalt/road construction is preferred, but not required.

Job Requirements:

Travel will be approximately 50% with overnight stays at 20%-30%.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
