Description

The Durham Manufacturing Company is seeking an experienced Receiver. This position works as part of the receiving team responsible for receiving all raw material and ordered goods into the factory. Distributes materials and goods or stores in designated locations.

Essential Functions:

· Receives all raw material/MRO items in a timely manner, delivers or puts away same day and also delivers packaging and components to the factory.

· Distributes materials and goods or stores them in designated locations.

· Unloads material and purchased goods from delivery trucks by hand or by fork lift.

· Counts, measures, or weighs incoming material and goods to verify accuracy of packing slips or bills of lading.

· Moves full skids of finished goods from packing lines to Warehouse

· Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Requires an ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds. Possess or be able to obtain equipment certification, and become proficient operating equipment such as a forklift and high lift. Have basic math skills, ability to use a calculator, micrometer, and other measuring tools, produce accurate paperwork, possess basic computer skills, be able to effectively work with a group of diverse employees, have a good attendance record, and be able to work overtime with little notice. Must be able to efficiently operate a fork lift outdoors in all types of weather.
