Durango School District 9-R is accepting applicatins for Head Dance Coach, responsible for all aspects of the Dance/Pom program at Durango High School, for the 2023/ 2024 school year, to include but not limited to the following:

-supervision, mentoring, and assist in the evaluation of assistant coaches

-administration of budget

-team supervision and discipline

-care and inventory of equipment

-care of facilities

-effective communication with athletes and parents

-involvement with middle school and community based programs

-fundraising

-practice, planning, and preparation for performances and competitions

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid CHSAA Certification, or Colorado Teaching Certificate/License
• Fundamental knowledge of Dance
• Experience working with related school aged athletes/students
• Ability to work as an integral part of the coaching staff
• Current medical injury treatment course work
