```Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist during dental procedures and providing exceptional patient care. If you have a passion for dentistry and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you. Duties: - Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures by ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are ready - Assist the dentist during dental procedures by handing them instruments, suctioning, and providing support as needed - Take and record patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature - Perform dental receptionist duties such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and managing patient records - Utilize Dentrix or similar software to update patient information and maintain accurate records - Take and develop dental x-rays or other medical imaging as directed by the dentist - Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques to prevent the spread of infection - Conduct patient assessments to gather relevant medical history and information - Ensure proper sterilization of dental instruments and equipment - Provide patients with post-operative instructions and oral hygiene education Skills: - Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and procedures - Knowledge of Dentrix or similar dental practice management software - Familiarity with medical imaging equipment and techniques - Ability to perform vital sign measurements accurately - Strong understanding of aseptic techniques to maintain infection control - Experience with Epic or other electronic medical record systems is a plus - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry If you are a detail-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for providing quality dental care, we encourage you to apply for this position.
