Duquesne University is Hiring a Summer Office Assistant - Marketing and Communications Department (Work-Study Required) Near Pittsburgh, PA
Duties include:
- Office Clerical – billing support, mail distribution, month end processing, Word and Excel documentation, & special projects as needed
- Media Team – daily clip collection and reporting, entering clips into FileMaker, writing Grants and Faculty Spotlights for DU Times, monthly event releases, and writing feature stories for the DU Times and news releases.
- Marketing/Advertising – video transcription, downloading, proofreading & labeling marketing/ advertising materials including both print and digital collateral.
- Social Media – Basic video shooting and editing skills (Adobe Premiere), photography shooting and editing skills (Lightroom, Photoshop). Writing for social media, story creation for social media, graphic design skills. Students may have the opportunity to participate in photoshoots and social media as helpers or as student-subjects.
- Web Content – assisting with web audit, content optimization, basic web updates, good grammar/editing/proofreading skills.
- Print Shop – copy/print support (binding, shrink wrapping, and insertion, hand folding and other miscellaneous projects.
Qualifications:
- Business, Multimedia, Marketing, Communication or Journalism majors preferred. Candidates should have great verbal and written communication skills.
