POSITIONSUMMARY:

Under the direction of the AssociateAthletic Director, External Relations, the Assistant Director of Creative Mediawill be responsible for enhancing the Duquesne Athletics’ brand in the digitalmedia realm, creating creative content that showcases the athletic department,its student-athletes, and supports its strategic plan. The individual will alsooversee the production and editing of an 18-week Coaches Show and fromtime-to-time assist with live event production. Additionally, the selectedcandidate will have the ability to recruit, train, and mentor a staff ofstudent workers.

DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES:

CONTENT CREATION

Heavyemphasis on quick, timely and engaging social media content for the primaryathletics account and team accounts.
Producesand creates original content that showcases the Duquesne Athletics brand allathletic teams.
Createsstoryboards and scripts for feature content that features student-athletes bothin and out of competition to be distributed through multiple platforms, includingsocial media and television.
Setupshoots, events, interviews including sound, lighting, cameras and backgrounds.
Coordinateswith all departments on storytelling ideas, staying atop of current trends andstudent-athlete accomplishments and milestones.
Develops,produces, and edits intro/hype videos for volleyball and basketball.
Overseesvideo aspect of media day shoots.
Attendshome events to collect cinematic content to be utilized in conjunction with thebroadcast content.
COACHES SHOW

Produces,shoots and edits a 30-minute, 18-week Coaches show for basketball and football.
Setup,light and shoot “studio” interviews.
Collectsstudent-athlete and coaching content specific to each week’s opponent/theme.
Createscontent for special segments (e.g. behind the numbers) to fulfill contractedelements with sponsors.
Editsand captions the final package for distribution.
Uploadsand sends to broadcast partner for distribution.

GAME DAY PRODUCTION

Assistsin the production and setup of broadcasts utilizing multiple cameras, animatedgraphics systems, reply and NewTrek Tricaster technology (only as staffingrequires).
Additionally,during selected regular and postseason contests this individual will have theopportunity to travel with selected teams.

Completes otherduties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in digital media or similar program from anaccredited institution
1-2 years of experience in digital media/live productions
Proficient inAdobe Creative suite focusing on Adobe Premier Pro and After Effect
Working knowledge of NewTek Tricaster technology
Ability to work independently and responsibly

Excellent organizational, project management and problem-solvingskills
Innovative, creative and energic personality that will recommendand implement new ideas
Must be willing to work unconventional hours including nights andweekends throughout the academic year.
Ability to communicate, consistently and effectively, both orallyand in writing.
The ability to establish and maintain effective workingrelationships with students, faculty, staff, and the University Community.
Adherence to all University, Atlantic 10 Conference, NEC and NCAApolicies, procedures, rules and regulations.
