Dupre Logistics is Hiring a Claims Specialist Near Baton Rouge, LA

Activities

The Risk Management Claims Specialist will assist with corporate insurance and risk management related matters supporting day-to-day administrative activities and management of regular in-house processes. They will also provide insurance and risk management support to various business units, which include insurance renewals, claims, contract reviews, budget/forecast variance analysis, as well as any project that requires corporate insurance assistance.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively serving as point of contact to all, providing appropriate advice for claim reporting, budget, certificate of insurance management, and general insurance questions.
  • As part of the Risk Management in-house claims handling team, under the supervision of the Claims Manager, they will administer the corporate workers’ compensation program, auto/GL investigations, provide input on reserves, assist field personnel and report regularly to corporate operations.

Required Education & Experience

  • Undergraduate degree or Associate in Claims preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in either Risk Management or Claims

Management, specifically workers’ compensation, auto, GL and cargo claims.

  • Experience as a insurance claims/workers compensation adjuster preferred
  • Experience within the Freight/Cargo Industry is preferred.

Required Technical Skills

  • Excellent PC skills – emphasis on MS Office Excel medium-advanced level; MS Power BI–Business data analytics is preferred
  • Understanding of insurance and risk management basic concepts and theories.
  • Experience with Risk/Claims Management Information Systems (RMIS/CMIS)
  • Fluent in insurance processes and can drive results by influencing other key players in the process
  • Strong analytical skills with problem solving abilities

· Familiarity with Oracle Net Suite ERP is a plus.

  • Comfortable analyzing and working with numbers and spreadsheets.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $1.00 - $2.00 per hour
