Dupont Tailoring is a tailor shop in the Dupont Circle neighborhood of Washington, DC that provides men's and women's alterations. We're focused on providing quality tailoring at a reasonable price and providing a great customer experience.

We have a position open for a full-time tailor to alter in-house garments from the ajoining clothing store, as well as assist outside customers.

Responsibilities:

• Mark men’s and women’s garments for alterations and repairs
• Use sewing machines, sergers, and other tools to complete alterations
• Inspect finished products for quality and make any necessary adjustments
• Fill out alteration tags and take payment

Qualifications:

• 5 years experience altering men’s and women’s clothing, including suit jackets, trousers, dresses, and skirts
• Professional and courteous
• Conversational English
• Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
• Knowledge of different fabrics, stitches, and garment construction
• Strong organizational skills
