Job Summary
We are seeking positive, experienced individuals to join our team!
Baskin Captain will consistently deliver strong sales and service results. Offering a superior customer experience and exceptional product standard will be the captain’s highest priorities. The successful candidate will ensure that the equipment is well-maintained, inventory is accurate, team members are on task, and dipping cabinet as well as sundae bar are clean, organized and well-stocked. The captain will partner with the manager and other leaders to keep the work environment safe and compliant with relevant laws and regulations in addition to Baskin standards.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete performance checks of other employees
- Oversee completion of Baskin’s daily tasks
- Train new hires and coach experienced staff members
- Provide a timely and accurate count every week of all Baskin product
- Properly log waste of expired cakes, ice cream, and corresponding paper product
- Send a detailed log of ice cream backstock every week
- Order ice cream according to pars and budget
- Set customer service and suggestive selling example for all employees
- Maintain the dipping cabinet
- Maintain small appliances
- Reliably and punctually support the manager in daily operations and financial responsibility, striving towards excellence
- Maintain an elevated level of focus on 100% Guest Satisfaction through exceptional service
- Ensure crew adherence to all company policies and procedures including but not limited to food safety and cleanliness, product promotions, cash handling, cell phone usage, uniforms, and attendance
- Ensure adherence to crew shift schedule to manage payroll; deploy team members appropriately throughout the shift, communicate crew responsibilities
- Coach and train the crew as directed by management; provide feedback to management and crew
- Perform as a member of the crew in food production, guest service, store cleanliness and organization; Participate in store level preventative maintenance of all equipment and machines
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Excellent interpersonal skills to provide the highest level of customer service
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Desire to be a team member within a growing organization
- A positive attitude; elevated level of integrity; strong work ethic; ability to multi-task
- Knowledge, experience and understanding of restaurant operations
- Proficiency in Excel
- Able to complete all Baskin training requirements
- High School diploma or GED certificate
- Saturday availability
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be 18 years of age or older
