General SummaryThe General Labor – Food Safety position plays a key role in maintaining food safety regulations around the farms up to par. This position is responsible for performing maintenance around the farm and servicing all PVC rotten traps.

General SummaryThe General Labor – Food Safety position plays a key role in maintaining food safety regulations around the farms up to par. This position is responsible for performing maintenance around the farm and servicing all PVC rotten traps.
- ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Performing maintenance on fences, hail netting, toilets, and agribon netting.
- Performing weeding maintenance.
- Maintaining farm free of garbage.
- Inspecting and maintaining rodent traps.
- Properly disposing of dead and live rodents (live rodents are released far away from the farm)
- Properly cleaning up oil spills and disposing of affected products.
- Cutting production samples prior to harvest, placing them in ice chest, and transferring them to the office where they will be shipped to lab for testing.
- Operate ATVs, Kubota’s to move around farm.
- Responsible for sanitizing equipment such as: ATV’s, tractors, trucks, and restrooms.
- Adhere to all employee company policies and food safety requirements.
- All other tasks as needed.
- QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have experience working in Agriculture.
- OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong work ethic.
- PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT/WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Able to stand, walk, sit for extended periods of time.
- Able to squat, crouch and reach as needed to be able to get in and out of tractor and/or adjust implement.
- Able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to work in severe weather conditions-both heat and cold.
