DuMOL's Marketing Associate will have an aptitude for member acquisition and an affinity for storytelling to become an integral part of our team. The role's focus is on long-term sustainable sales, achieved by delivering the DuMOL story in the right ways to acquire new customers and develop deep and lasting relationships with them. With events being an integral part of our acquisition strategy, a primary focus area for this role will be on events, but this role will be a key contributor across sales and growth holistically, collaborating cross-functionality to identify relevant opportunities and execute initiatives to improve our awareness, acquisition, and engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Execute with excellence and appropriate speed strategies and tactics to increase Profitable new Customers for DTC and on-premise (restaurants) accounts and connections.
  • Collaborate with team in advising on event SOPs to maximize communication and connections with potential members.
  • Source and generate leads on new events.
  • Provide recaps of events and analyses on what is working and what isn't.
  • Help create and execute a plan to follow-up with people we've met to build a long-lasting connection.
  • Support event planning and coordination and identify areas where the team can operate more efficiently and effectively.
  • Build relationships with key external stakeholders (restaurants, somms, concierges, etc.)
  • Create an environment for advocates to fall in love with DuMOL.
  • Track event expenses, prepare budget reports, and ensure that marketing activities stay within allocated budgets.
  • Engage with social media followers and help identify potential collaborations with like-minded accounts.
  • Update, monitor, and maintain company websites and online presence as needed, with focus on SEO and SEM.
  • Connect with DTC Members during both releases and non-sales situations
  • Identify digital platforms and forums where DuMOL should build awareness and engage in them.
  • Compile data and generate reports to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
  • Monitor inventory of marketing materials and replenish supplies, as needed.
  • Vet and coordinate donations and event requests, sending materials as needed.
  • Organize meetings, appointments, and events related to marketing initiatives. This could involve coordinating with internal teams, external vendors, or clients.
  • Provide administrative support for various marketing campaigns, including coordinating mailings, managing RSVPs for events, or handling inquiries from customers.
  • Partner with DTC and wholesale teams to execute seasonal releases and other initiatives, identifying opportunities for improvement, testing and measuring results.
  • Collaborate and partner cross-functionally on awareness and acquisition efforts.

The right candidate has:

  • A four-year degree in Marketing, Business, or Liberal Arts (or equivalent experience) and a track record of success
  • 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of wines, viticulture and winemaking processes, or an interest in learning
  • Demonstrated drive & ambition, paired with curiosity, self-awareness, and a desire to never stop growing.
  • The ability to be self-directed and work autonomously and the judgement to know when to collaborate and ask for help.
  • Comfort with problem solving and is solution oriented.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, with polished phone and email skills
  • Confidence with technology and software, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, social media platforms, ecommerce systems, and email marketing platforms.
  • Experience or awareness of luxury winery, retail, restaurant or hospitality environment, a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to project manage multi-faceted initiatives while hitting deadlines.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the necessity to wear multiple hats on a lean team requires constant collaboration.
  • Willingness and ability to travel, including on occasional weekends.

Location: Napa, CA

Hybrid Schedule - 2 days per week work from home

This position reports to the Director of Marketing and Direct to Consumer. The right candidate will find opportunities for growth and career development within our small organization.

Salary Range: $60,000 - $85,000
