FACILITIES MAINTENANCE ENGINEER
Occupational Summary
The Building Maintenance Engineer is responsible for supporting the operation, maintenance and repair of buildings for Facilities Management Department. The individual will work closely with FMD shops, planners, and stakeholder staff to ensure systems are running efficiently and reliability to support Campus operations.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
Work requires a technical background normally acquired through a two year Associate Degree program in a field related to Engineering or Facilities Management.
Experience
Work requires 5 years of experience in Facilities Management Operations. Experience in higher education or similar setting preferred. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education | 2-Year Facilities Management related degree; and |
Experience: | Five years’ experience in Facilities Management Operations experience. Experience in a higher education or similar setting or preferred. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE |
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: | Good knowledge of building mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems and general facilities maintenance practices. Working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Hexagon EAM CMMS experience preferred. Computer software skills using MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively to a wide range of audiences, including senior University management, faculty, staff from other departments, students, and others |
