Overview/Job Purpose

The Pediatric LPN/LVN is responsible for providing direct patient care and assisting the provider team in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The LPN/LVN's primary purpose is to provide professional nursing care for patients following established standards and practices. The LPN/LVN also aides providers and staff in coordinating patient care and functions as a primary liaison between patients, staff, and attending providers.

Summary of Duties:

As a Pediatric LPN/LVN at Duke City Primary Care, your day-to-day duties may include, but are not limited to, the various tasks below:

• Ensure appropriate management and observation of all patients in the clinic according to nursing and DCPC standards.
• Identify and assess patients presenting with clinical symptoms requiring additional intervention and promptly initiate appropriate treatment.
• Collaborate with attending providers to obtain and review outpatient labs and imaging results, ensuring that results are communicated to the patient or caregiver in a timely manner.
• Educate patient/family about diagnostic procedures, medications, nutritional maintenance of health and wellness.
• Act as a patient advocate and assist patient and family members in the plan of care.
• Other duties as assigned.
