We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Associate to join our finance team in the ready-mix industry. The role will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial processes. The Accounting Associate will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records, processing invoices, and supporting various accounting functions within the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Process and review invoices for accuracy and completeness.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure timely and accurate payment of bills, monitor and follow up on overdue payments.
• Apply payments to customer accounts.
• Maintain accurate records of customer transactions.
• Post and reconcile financial transactions in the general ledger.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare journal entries and ensure proper documentation.
• Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies as well as monitor and record all financial transactions related to bank accounts.
• Generate and analyze financial reports, Prepare and present financial information for management review.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and relevant regulations and assist in internal and external audits.

Skills we look for:

• Proven experience with accounting transactions, preferably within construction or ready mix industry
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
• Detail oriented
• Ability to research and follow through
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable with technology, including the Microsoft Office suite, social media management tools and cloud-based software programs.

Requirements we look for:

• Degree in accounting preferred or combination of HS diploma plus experience
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to meet all workplace safety requirements.
