Job Description: As the RN/LPN, you will be responsible for overseeing the skilled nursing care of the adults with developmental disabilities in a day services setting.

A Day in the Life:

• Oversee medical needs of people attending day program
• Oversee direction of Medical Support Workers on staff
• Administer medications as needed
• Document behaviors and implement behavioral plans
• Conduct trainings and instruct medication aid staff when needed
• Ensure cleanliness of the environment and equipment – maintain availability of medication and supplies

For the safety of those we support, we require following:

• State of NE RN/LPN license
• A valid Driver’s License in good standing
• Experience working with the DD population preferred (not required)
• Be able to pass a physical (including lifting 70 pounds), drug screen, and criminal background check (APS/CPS Registry check included)
• Ability to lead a team and delegate appropriately
• Passion about our mission and the people we support
• Demonstrated good work ethic and reliability
• Demonstrated ability to effectively and clearly communicate with persons supported, parents, and staff in a professional and courteous manner
• Knowledge of clinical instruments, equipment, nursing interventions, medications (including actions, interactions, and side effects)
• Strong self-direction with ability to work with minimal direct supervision
• Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, walk, sit, stand, climb, push, carry, and grasp
• Ability to safely drive in all weather and traffic conditions (including operating a 15 passenger van)

About Us: At Duet (formerly ENCOR), we provide support services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities with a focus on empowerment and independence throughout 5 counties in Eastern Nebraska. We assist in the activities of daily living, provide community engagement opportunities, job coaching and life skills training, as well as skilled nursing care as needed.
