About The JobWe are seeking dynamic, self-motivated, creative, and detail-oriented environmental planning professionals interested in joining our CEQA/NEPA Team. The individual chosen for the position will work collaboratively with Dudek's environmental team in northern and southern California on a wide variety of projects including industrial, renewable energy, infill development, transportation, residential, and mixed-use projects. The position will be based in our one of our offices in southern California (San Diego, Encinitas, San Juan Capistrano, Santa Barbara or Pasadena).Proposed Salary Range: $105,000 - $152,000 annually**Final agreed upon compensation will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to an individual's related experience, education, certifications, skills, and work location. you will have the opportunity to shape.Who You AreTo thrive at Dudek, you should be comfortable with accountability, collaboration, flexibility while being a resourceful and independent thinker.   • Interact with various members of public agency and private client staff on matters related to land use planning, project description development, CEQA/NEPA compliance, and land development/entitlements
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, engagement, quality service, and customer satisfaction to our public and private clients
  • Foster client connections through existing client relationships and proactive business development in the candidate's areas of strength and interest, working with others to anticipate and pursue work Enhance Dudek's professional reputation and demonstrate the ability to be creative and innovative with these tasks while representing Dudek in a professional manner
  • Work closely with other Dudek Project Managers to promote our business interests in adherence with the company's mission, vision, and values Perform all other duties as assigned by your supervisor(s)
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in environmental studies/planning or policy, urban planning, or similar from an accredited four-year college
  • 8 or more years of professional work experience in environmental impact assessment including demonstrated success in CEQA and/or NEPA document preparation
  • Project management experience overseeing contracts, budgets, schedules and technical staff or subconsultants in the preparation of CEQA/NEPA documents is required
  • Ability to travel regionally for business; reliable transportation, and a valid driver's license
  • Excellent communication, organization, writing, and presentation skills are required
* As a federal contractor, successful candidates are required to pass the following pre-employment requirements prior to beginning employment: pre - employment drug test and background check.Preferred Qualifications
  • Ideal candidates should have 10-15 years of professional work experience
  • Master's degree is a plus
  • Other complimentary experience, such as land use planning, land development/ entitlements, regulatory permitting, or urban design is desired
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel software
Physical RequirementsWorking Conditions:
  • This job operates in a remote or office-based environment and this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, etc.
  • This job requires occasional project site visits-based outdoors which can include excessive noise, uneven walking surfaces, extreme weather, moving vehicles and equipment.
