DUCG is Hiring a Medical Assistant (Part-Time) Near Taylor, MI

Our company, Doctors Urgent Care Group, is a fast-growing multi-million-dollar urgent care corporation with over 25 locations nationwide. We staff over 300 employees across 5 different states. Our mission is to provide the best patient care at low wait times by caring and supportive staff, 7 days a week with extended hours. Our part-time Medical Assistants are compensated up to $21/HR depending on experience, and must be able to work 1 weekday and 1 weekend day each week.

The Medical Assistant job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Patient registration/EMR
  • Insurance verification
  • Familiar with simple computer tasks and Microsoft
  • Vitals
  • EKG
  • Proficient in venipuncture and injections
  • Collecting urine specimens and preparing for LAB send-outs
  • In office testing including FLU, strep and pregnancy testing
  • Prepare for suturing
  • Sterilization, etc.
  • Knowledge of clinical procedures, medical anatomy, and physiology

Requirements for the Medical Assistant position include:

· Successful completion of a Medical Assistant training program from an accredited institution or

  • Possess a valid Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification or
  • Have at least one (1) year of verifiable, clinical work experience in an Emergency Department, Hospital, or Urgent Care environment as a Medical Assistant, ED/ER Technician, or Patient Care Technician.
  • Ability to pass our internal clinical assessment.
  • Some weekend shifts are required as we are open 7 days a week for our patients
  • Required to have a valid driver's license or a valid driver's level 2 permit
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Able to sit, walk, reach with hands and arms throughout the workday.
  • Finger dexterity and hand coordination required.
  • Occasionally required to lift moderate weight (20-40 pounds)
  • Specific vision abilities required including close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust or focus.
